Twelfth Night
Seasonal celebration in words, music, dance and song
LLANDINAM CHURCH & VILLAGE HALL
Saturday 3rd January 2009

Our legendary event was once more the highlight of TASC's year. Llandinam Village Band, Wild Angels & Montgomeryshire
Youth Theatre with additional music from Pete, Annette & Geoff saw the old Old Year out in style.
AND BEFORE THAT . . .
John Dipper and
Claudine Arcand
Workshops and
Performances from
two fantastic fiddlers
LLANDINAM VILLAGE HALL
Saturday 20th September 2008

We held an afternoon workshop and an evening performance.
John Dipper is one of
the most accomplished of English fiddlers, in much demand for workshops all over the world. His exciting John Dipper Band performed at
the premiere of the Severn Suite in the Village Hall, and he is also well known for his work with the groundbreaking English
Acoustic Collective led by Chris Wood.
Those who caught Claudine Arcand's masterclass last year will need no encouragement to return. It was a wonderful insight into an
exciting world of lively, infectious dance music, delivered with warmth and fun. Claudine is one of Quebec's leading fiddle-players, highly impressive
in an area
renowned for its traditional music.
OTHER WORKSHOPS
TASC runs regular workshops and teaching sessions throughout the year.
For full details of our workshops subscribe to our e-newsletter.
See the resources page for other ways TASC can help with your folk music.

It aims to promote and encourage traditional and tradition-based work
The Severn Suite
The SEVERN SUITE is a suite of dances and tunes in the ceilidh/twmpath idiom on the theme of the
upper reaches of the River Severn around Llandinam.
A day or even a weekend of workshops for learning both tunes and dances
is being planned for sometime in 2008.
TASC gratefully acknowledges the support of Powys County Council,
the Arts Council of Wales, the PRSF New Music Fund and
the Gwendoline and Margaret Davies Charity for enabling us to commission this work.
